Overview

NewSpring Capital is seeking a Fundraising Associate. The Fundraising Associate will support all aspects of the capital formation process: fundraising, investor relations, and additional capital development functions. This role is required to be based in Philadelphia.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the capital raising of the firm across all strategies current and contemplated to support existing investors as well as reach additional investors not already known to the firm
  • Serve as one of the key points of contact between existing and prospective investors
  • Develop and track investor pipelines and drive summary reports for leadership
  • Work closely with the Marketing Team to update all investor marketing and diligence materials as well as use industry research and thought pieces to craft thoughtful market commentary for investors
  • Leverage internal CRM system including logging of all investor calls, meetings, and relevant investor updates to ensure all updates and follow-ups are properly tracked
  • Attend and lead pitch meetings while also strategizing and preparing materials for these meetings
  • Complete limited partner due diligence requests and handle other investor queries, as appropriate in conjunction with Investor Services professionals
  • Manage investor closing process during fundraising
  • Assist and coordinate on strategic firm initiatives, research projects, and other miscellaneous projects in support of capital raising at the firm
  • Collaborate with internal teams to perform portfolio analytics and benchmarking

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited university
  • 2-4 years of fundraising or sales experience with a strong preference for private equity experience
  • Passion for building relationships both internally and externally
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, taking pride in ones work and success
  • Possesses the ability to work independently while managing one’s own schedule effectively and remaining responsive to both internal and external requests
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Superior written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Results-oriented, with the ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
