Overview

NewSpring Capital is seeking a Vice President to join our Growth Strategy. As a Vice President, you will manage the daily responsibilities of the deal teams and work closely with the Partners on strategy and negotiations. You will play an integral role in continuing to develop the success of the NewSpring Growth strategy broadly, including sourcing, quarterbacking and negotiating new investment opportunities, as well as managing a team of investment professionals.


Responsibilities

  • Drive proprietary deal flow by building relationships directly with companies, service providers, and investors
  • Lead all aspects of diligence for new platform investments and follow-on rounds, including managing all third-party service providers (accounting, technology, market, background checks, insurance, etc.); lead diligence meetings with target companies, present thesis and key diligence findings to Investment Committee and develop internal memos
  • Manage Third Party Service Providers, including Accounting, Market, Technology, and other non-legal service providers
  • Develop strong working relationships with portfolio company CFOs and Board members, often times serving as board observer supporting Partners
  • Train and manage junior investment professionals on all transactions, business development, and portfolio company support
  • Assisting in fund management, portfolio reporting, and investor relations

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications

  • 5-7 years of related experience (Private equity and/or investment banking experience required). Preference for experience in technology
  • Proven experience leading transactions over a sustained period of time with exceptional analytical capabilities
  • Significant experience in financial modeling, company valuation, and financial analysis
  • Team player who is always willing to step in when needed and be a part of our tight knit culture and embodies our core values
  • Exceptional critical thinking skills and analytical skills with the desire to always go one step further to find the answer
  • Strong work ethic, ability to be proactive and responsive while managing up and down
  • Bachelor's Degree with excellent academic achievement. MBA preferred
  • Outstanding interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
  • Ties to the Philadelphia area strongly preferred
