Brian Kim

Brian Kim is a Partner of NewSpring and the Firm’s dedicated growth funds. Brian joined the Firm in 2014 and prior to NewSpring, he was with Gryphon Investors, a San Francisco-based equity firm focused on middle-market buyout investments where he was responsible for all stages of the investment lifecycle, including sourcing, diligence, execution, and portfolio value creation.

Previously, Brian focused on growth equity investments with LLR Partners, a Philadelphia-based private equity firm investing across a broad set of industries, including information technology, business services, and consumer services. He began his career as a strategy consultant with First Manhattan Consulting Group, where he focused on the firm’s private equity practice and advised clients targeting the payments and bank technology sectors.

Brian received a BSE and BA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
