Michael DiPiano named 2018 Legend Award Honoree for Lifetime Achievement

While awards season is just heating up in Hollywood, the Philadelphia tech scene will have to wait a few more months or so for its biggest nights, one of which is the Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technologies' (PACT) annual black-tie Enterprise Awards set for May 9 at The Kimmel Center. Ahead of the event, PACT's just announced the nominees for each category.

The list includes familiar startups like the rising Lia Diagnostics, big-name game changers like Spark Therapeutics and regional stalwart Dell Boomi.

PACT did announce at least one winner — NewSpring Capital's Managing General Partner Michael DiPiano is the winner of the 2018 Legend Award Honoree for Lifetime Achievement.

“Through his leadership and outstanding work, Mike DiPiano has made an indelible mark on our community," President and CEO of PACT Dean Miller said in a statement. “He has passionately championed numerous successes both as a serial entrepreneur and investor. In NewSpring, Mike has built one of the most successful firms in the country spanning four strategies with $2B in assets under management. We congratulate Mike as our Legend Award Honoree for his lifetime achievements and for his many successes yet to come.”
