NewSpring Vice President Amy Wang Named to Growth Cap's Top Women Leaders in Growth Equity

NewSpring is thrilled to announce that Vice President Amy Wang has been named one of the Top Women Leaders in Growth Investing for 2024 by GrowthCap.

Amy Wang is a Vice President at NewSpring, dedicated to the Firm’s software and technology growth equity strategy. Since joining NewSpring in 2018 as an Analyst, she has quickly risen through the ranks in nearly every aspect of the Firm’s business including proprietary deal sourcing, underwriting, fundraising, and deal execution.

As a successful investor for NewSpring Growth, Amy currently serves on the Board for vertical SaaS companies (HomeSource Systems and Symphonic), as well as software and tech-enabled services companies (Celigo, Energage, Venn, and PX). She has led various operational initiatives, including strategic ICP shifts, new pricing model rollouts, direct secondary transactions for founders, and sale/exit positioning.

Amy is a natural leader and mentor and has significantly contributed to NewSpring’s growth over the last six years. She has led the Firm’s efforts in standardizing ESG practices across all strategies and champions NewSpring’s Summer Analyst program, playing a key role in developing future finance professionals. Her dedication to promoting women in private equity is evident in her active engagement in recruiting and industry events, encouraging more women to pursue careers in finance.

Prior to NewSpring, Amy was an Investment Banking Analyst at Wells Fargo Securities, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, as well as debt and equity financings in the consumer & retail sector. She holds a BS in Economics with concentrations in Finance, Operations Management, and Marketing from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
