NewSpring Promotes Drew Scannell to Partner

NewSpring (the “Firm”), a family of private equity strategies, is pleased to announce the promotion of Drew Scannell to Partner within NewSpring Mezzanine, the Firm’s dedicated private credit strategy focused on providing flexible capital solutions to lower-middle market companies.

Drew joined NewSpring in 2015 and is a core contributor across all stages of the investment lifecycle, from sourcing and diligence, through portfolio value creation.  He has been deeply involved in the underwriting, structuring, and execution of investments across NewSpring Mezzanine, with a consistent focus on disciplined credit underwriting, downside protection, and consistent returns for investors, while building long-term partnerships with management teams. As his responsibilities and leadership have expanded, Drew has contributed as a member of the investment team to more than a dozen successful exits, including several notable outcomes.

In addition to his investment responsibilities, Drew has played a key role in building and mentoring the NewSpring Mezzanine investment team, which has grown from six to fourteen dedicated investment professionals during his tenure.
