Kamal Advani

Kamal Advani is an Operating Partner dedicated to the Firm's buyout strategy, NewSpring Holdings.

Kamal has over 30 years of experience in driving value creation as a senior operating executive and as a director on boards of private equity backed companies. He has worked with companies at different stages of growth in numerous industries including business services, financial services, hospitality, manufacturing, software and ecommerce.

Kamal was previously Managing Director and Head of Portfolio Operations at Versa Capital Management, where he continues to participate as a Senior Operating Advisor. At Versa, Kamal worked closely with portfolio company management teams to help them develop and execute value creation strategies. He also served as interim CEO of several portfolio companies.

Prior to joining Versa in 2013, Kamal was a Managing Director at ICG, Inc. where he was responsible for leading investments in software and e-commerce companies and working closely with their management teams. Companies he was involved with include Procurian, Velocity EHS and InvestorForce. Earlier in his career, Kamal held several positions at Advanta Corporation including CFO of its business credit card business, and before Advanta, he was a senior manager in the Financial Advisory Services group at Coopers & Lybrand.

Kamal is a graduate of Washington and Jefferson College where he earned a B.S. in Economics.
