Mary Halfpenny
Human Capital Strategist, Value Creation
Mary Halfpenny is a member of the Value Creation Team dedicated to the Firm's buyout strategy, NewSpring Holdings. Mary has worked with Holdings since 2015 and officially joined NewSpring in 2023. She is primarily focused on providing support in Human Capital and Legal strategy to help drive long term value creation for portfolio companies of NewSpring Holdings.
Mary has over 30 years’ experience as a licensed attorney, spending 15 years in private practice in San Francisco and then Philadelphia. From there, she transitioned into Executive HR leadership and General Counsel roles in several private equity backed companies before becoming part of the New Spring Team.
Mary received a BA in Economics and a BA in Asian Studies from the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from Santa Clara University. Mary also holds SPHR and SHRM-SCP designations.
