Michael Donahue is an Advisory Partner for NewSpring's dedicated growth equity funds. Michael has served as a consultant in an advisory capacity with NewSpring Capital’s growth strategy since 2008. He assists the strategy in screening investment opportunities, performing due diligence, providing operational and financial guidance, coaching executives, and serving as a board member.

Prior to joining NewSpring Capital, Michael was Chairman, Board Director and Technology Advisor for The Orchard, a global digital music distributor, from 2007 until its sale in 2014. He was Group Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of KPMG Consulting, Inc. (NASDAQ: KCIN) from 2000 to 2005. Mr. Donahue spent 21 years in leadership roles at KPMG, serving as Managing Partner, Technology for KPMG Consulting, and as Chairman of KPMG Consulting KK (Japan), and KPMG Consulting AG (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland), and as Group EVP, Europe, Middle East, and Africa. Michael has served on 21 public and private boards of directors, from growth-stage companies to Fortune 500, including Air Products (NYSE: APD), GSI Commerce (FANATICS; NASDAQ: GSIC), and Beneficial (NASDAQ: BNCL). He currently serves on the Board of Directors of NSG Prior Funds’ portfolio companies SiteSpect and Symphonic. In addition, he serves on the Board of Directors of WSFS and Gluware.

Michael has degrees in Economics and History from the University of Pennsylvania and completed the IMP program at The Wharton School.
