Sean Whitehead

Sean Whitehead is an Associate at NewSpring where he is responsible for all phases throughout the lifecycle of a deal with the Firm’s newest strategy focused on investing in innovative franchise and multi-unit concepts. Having joined NewSpring in 2019, he is responsible for new deal sourcing, underwriting, modeling, industry research, detailed due diligence, execution, and ongoing operational support to the portfolio companies.

Previously, Sean was an Investment Banking Associate with Griffin Financial Group where he was responsible for analyzing industry and company performance to assist with various aspects of the merger and acquisition process. Prior to Griffin, Sean was an Investment Banking Analyst with Cowen and Company where he focused on aggregating and analyzing market trends, performing financial and operational due diligence, and building financial models to evaluate clients’ strategic options.

Sean received a BS in Crime Law and Justice from the Pennsylvania State University, a JD from Villanova University School of Law, and an MBA from Villanova University School of Business.
