SpeedConnect Launches New LTEXtreme Internet Service Network in the Quad Cities
August 04, 2015
Davenport, Iowa - SpeedConnect, a premium wireless broadband provider, said today an expanded LTE network service launch and office location has been deployed in the Quad Cities. This expansion project complements an existing service coverage area that includes Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Vinton, Williamsburg, West Liberty and Muscatine, with a retail office in North Liberty.
John Ogren, founder and CEO of SpeedConnect, said LTEXtreme technology is the newest generation of wireless broadband available, with speeds up to 50 Mbps for residential and commercial customers alike. This new network reflects a multimillion dollar investment in the Quad Cities.
“This is an emerging technology,” said Ogren, “which is rapidly becoming a world-class standard and a new level of service and speed for the Quad Cities market we’ve not seen before.”
The network build began in the fall of 2014 and will be completed in the summer of 2015, with most sites active and delivering up to 50 Mbps speeds now. “SpeedConnect has always offered high-speed wireless broadband over secure, owned FCC frequencies, and this is a significant investment in advanced technologies, bandwidth and network to improve coverage and expand capacity, Ogren said. “We built this LTEXtreme network specifically for sustained broadband speeds, great throughput, and low latency to provide an uninterrupted streaming Internet experience.
SpeedConnect is currently hiring employees for their new location in Davenport, at 2222 East 53rd Street, Suite 5. In addition to high-speed Internet, SpeedConnect offers DISH® TV and phone services.
