April 13, 2020
With 11 centers in the greater Philadelphia market, NewSpring portfolio company, vybe urgent care has launched a new telemedicine service that allows patients to access an urgent care provider from their home or office. vybe urgent care President and CEO, Peter Hotz and his team knew they had to act quickly to address the rapidly-changing needs of patients surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, which found most of the U.S. practicing shelter-in-place and social distancing measures to prevent the spread of the disease.
"Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, providing high-quality care while maintaining a safe environment for patients, colleagues, and the communities we serve is our highest priority," said Hotz. “We’re pleased to offer easy access to video visits and we’re encouraging our patients to take advantage of this new service whenever possible, and especially if they’re exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms or have concerns about exposure.”
With the team focused on the same goal and with clear communication lines in place, vybe was able to launch their telemedicine offering in an impressive seven days on March 23, 2020 at the height of Philadelphia-area closures and social distancing measures. From the beginning, vybe’s goal has been to deliver quality healthcare to all neighborhoods in Philadelphia and surrounding areas. Virtual visits will ensure that everyone has access to quality, convenient healthcare, even during these unprecedented times.
